"SUB-ALTERITY"
Sub-Alterity is a touring exhibition of underground art, concept-driven and featuring eleven unique, visionary artists from Los Angeles, Long Beach, and abroad. The paintings, installations, and multi-media presentations collectively and independently express the contradictory, boundary-shattering urban[organic] consciousness.
Collectors, businesses, and bohemians are invited to view, discuss, and purchase the works presented at Sub-Alterity. Refreshments provided by local sponsors, real music from live musicians and DJs as well as installations and activities.
The urban environment is commonly depicted as opposing nature and visa versa, but in actuality, the organic world is continuously creeping into the vast networks of human planning and concrete. Similarly we, as artists, perpetually cross cultural borders and challenge our society’s guarantee of a static and one-sided reality.
Curated and presented by Rowynn Michelle Dumont, international experimental arts guru, and Michaël Veremans, LA underground connoisseur as part of the next generation of fine arts. Kyle Veremans is on booking, bringing with him the best underground bands and Djs in the scene. Viraag Desai and Clay Cooper are the resident digital designers, busting out fresh graphics and repping the concept.
We are creatively exploring, interpreting, and transmiting the seemingly contradictory webs of information, external events, and internal developments that make up the ever evolving consciousness of our age.
